The Asphyxiated Pecker

startupblah:

What is it about friends that makes us feel almost naked without them? As modern day men and women wake up to face the challenges of ‘modern day’ with modern thoughts and techniques, they fail to realise the ‘not-so-modern’ part of them is the way they meet, greet, fight, make-up, promise, keep the promises, watch out for each other and stay together.
No matter how much technology advances, it changes only to facilitate something so prehistorically prominent of our social behaviour. Look at our phones, look at the apps on them. Look at the way we live, work, dine, entertain. Everything is arranged in a manner as to be conducive of befriending the guy/girl on the next seat. And look at me… writing about friendship… or should I say.. typing away? :)
Even introverts have friends. I should know. I am friends with many of them :)
As much as I’ve been blabbering about friendship from the last two paragraphs, the whole purpose of me writing this post was tell my special friends how much I love them and value them. They’ve been my spine throughout the crazy rides of life. More so since I started-up on my own. They never told me I couldn’t do a certain thing. They never told me I couldn’t consider a certain thing. They only said, “if there be the need for us, we’ll quit everything else and pitch in”.
That’s them. Friends.
And they are the ones who keep me grounded. Not gravity. :)
